Matter and Periodicity
In Chemistry, we use models to visualize and understand what we cannot see. This unit will build on your understanding of the structure of the atom and expand your use of the Periodic Table, one of the most useful items in a Chemists collection of tools. You will learn how the structure of the atom determines its properties, leading to a greater understanding of how chemical reactions occur. You will discover the trends that can be found in the Periodic Table, which will help you to understand the atom to a much greater depth. You will also gain an understanding of how we know so much about that which we cannot see with our eyes.
